Full-Time & Part-Time Police Officers - Vandalia

Police Officer I-II - Lebanon

The City of Lebanon is currently accepting applications and résumés for a Police Officer I-II. A Police Officer provides law enforcement services to serve and protect the community that include but are limited to patrolling of the city, responding to calls for service, conducting criminal investigations, generating and completing original incidents reports, arresting violators, and testifying in court proceedings. Candidates must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment, have a high school diploma or equivalent, P.O.S.T certified, plus two years experience as a peace officer. Candidates with a minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university or two years active duty military service with an honorable discharge will also be considered. Law enforcement experience and/or education preferred, but not required. This is a full-time regular position with a starting hourly range of $15.204 - $17.232 and includes an excellent benefit package. Placement within range depends on experience, education, and training. Pre-employment drug testing and completion of a successful background check is required as a condition of employment.
